Job summary

Armstrong World Industries’ Steel Ceilings subsidiary in Johnstown, OH seeks a Press Brake Operator (Nights) to set up, operate and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification. You will select tooling, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires prior manufacturing experience, ability to read drawings, and a willingness to collaborate with teams while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing and machine operator experience required.
• Experience operating a press brake or metal fabrication equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials and fabrication processes.
• Ability to learn additional production machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust press brake machinery to produce parts to specification.
• Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material type and job requirements.
• Cut and form components from blueprint specifications and/or work orders to required tolerances.
• Work with steel, aluminum, and various curved or angled parts.
• Identify machine requirements for each specific job.
• Perform routine machine troubleshooting and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
