Job summary

Steel Ceilings, Inc., a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, seeks an experienced Advanced Machine Operator to run and set up a Bruck perforating press in our Ohio metal fabrication facility. You will troubleshoot runability issues, maintain tight tolerances, and own the job from setup through production release.

The role demands strong mechanical skills, precise measurement, and the ability to work on high-speed production runs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5+ years of industrial press operation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform machine setups and changeovers.
• Experience maintaining tight dimensional tolerances.
• Proven troubleshooting ability in a production environment.
• Perforating press experience strongly preferred.
• Equivalent experience with stamping presses, punch presses, or similar high-speed mechanical presses acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate the perforating press per job orders and drawings.
• Prepare tooling, punches, dies, gagbars, feed systems, and clamping devices.
• Program or adjust machine controls and parameters including feed rates and stroke frequency.
• Perform complete machine setup and changeovers on the perforating press.
• Install and align die-based perforation tooling and configure feed systems.
• Conduct first-piece validation and ensure high-precision perforation production.
