Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking an Advanced Machine Operator to operate and set up a Bruck perforating press in our Johnstown, Ohio metal fabrication facility. The role requires a strong mechanical background, independent setup, and the ability to troubleshoot quality and runability issues while maintaining high-precision tolerances on various materials.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of industrial press experience, excels at reading blueprints, and can perform first-piece validation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of industrial press operation experience.
• Must be able to perform machine setups and changeovers independently.
• Ability to read blueprints and production documentation.
• Experience with perforating presses or similar high‑speed mechanical presses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate the Bruck perforating press per job orders and drawings.
• Prepare tooling, punches, dies, gag bars, and clamping devices for perforation patterns.
• Program or adjust machine controls and parameters; perform complete setup and changeovers.
• Read blueprints and inspect perforated products to ensure tolerances and quality.
