Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Postpartum department on a full-time night shift. The role emphasizes coordinating patient care, implementing care plans, and ensuring accurate order execution across disciplines.

Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, TN RN license, BLS, and neonatal certification programs (NRP and STABLE) completed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

Nursing diploma or equivalent licensure at time of hire.
TN Registered Nurse license or compact-state recognition required.
Basic Life Support certification current or within 30 days of hire.
Neonatal Resuscitation certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
The S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient status.
Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated discharge planning.
Note and execute physician and nursing orders.
Assess discharge needs with the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from an accredited nursing program

TN RN License (Multistate/Compact)

BLS Provider certification

Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP/NRP-like)

The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Certification
