Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a polysomnographic technologist to perform PSG/MSLTS, score recordings, and assist with department protocols. You will train new staff, manage patient intake in EPIC, and ensure equipment is calibrated and safe. CPR certification and BLS are required, with polysomnography program graduation preferred.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, documenting events, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and preparing sleep rooms and supplies for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ experience in clinical or research polysomnography.
• High school or equivalent; associate degree preferred; polysomnography program preferred.
• BLS certification required; RRT-SDS, RST or R.P.S.G.T. required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PSG/MSLTS to standards to support diagnosis.
• Score PSG/MSLTS per AASM standards.
• Assist in department protocol development and QA programs.
• Assist in training of new staff.
• Handle patient intake and EPIC registration; explain procedures.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment per standard practices; ensure safety.
• Monitor patients and respond in emergencies; CPR certified.
• Document events and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Prepare rooms and supplies before patient arrival; maintain cleanliness.
• Complete morning duties including room prep and restocking.
