Job summary

SSM Health Sleep Center seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform diagnostic sleep studies for patients with sleep disorders. The role is a regular, full-time position in the Sleep Lab department with a 36-hour weekly schedule and a night shift, days to be determined.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, administering tests, monitoring patients, applying EEG/EKG/EMG/other sensors, recording results and ensuring equipment functionality.

Qualifications

• BLS HCP certification from AHA.
• RPSGT or RST certification recognized.
• Eligibility to work in IL, MO, OK, or WI as listed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for ordered testing.
• Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
• Performs and documents testing and monitors patient during testing.
• Applies monitoring devices and records physiologic calibrations.
• Scores, interprets and reports sleep study results.
• Maintains and repairs equipment and reports needed replacements.
• Works in a state of alertness and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
