Job summary

Pscfl Imaging & Radiology department seeks a Sleep Tech to prepare instruments, hook up patients, and monitor polygraphically recorded sleep studies. You will address patient needs and correct equipment malfunctions, with at least 2 years of sleep study experience and CPR certification.

The role includes performing MSLT and polysomnograms, maintaining EMR documentation, and participating in Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and patient care in the Neuro-Science Center.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of sleep study experience.
  • CPR Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to operate polysomnography equipment and CPAP testing.
  • Ability to document EMR meaningful use fields.
  • Willingness to participate in Lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains filing and storage systems for polygraphic recordings.
  • Explains procedures to patients/families; ensures a calm laboratory environment.
  • Performs MSLT, scores, and prepares sleep study reports for physician interpretation within 3 days.
  • Performs Polysomnograms multi-channel, including CPAP according to AASM guidelines.
  • Maintains sleep lab equipment, calibrates instruments, and handles minor malfunctions.
