Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Utilities to support the start-up and ongoing operations of the new FleX Batch facility. This role involves hands-on maintenance of plant utility systems on a rotating night shift (2-2-3 schedule, 7 PM to 7 AM) and collaboration with operations, QA, and maintenance teams.

You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation for steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, WFI, and related systems, with emphasis on safety, GMP

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with 1 year of utility operations or maintenance experience.
• Associate’s Degree preferred as alternative.
• Knowledge of cGMP or other regulated environments.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, testing and logs of process and utility equipment.
• Maintain and repair utility equipment serving Manufacturing, Lab, and ANC site.
• Maintain plant systems: steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling tower water, hot water.
• Maintain manufacturing/lab utilities: clean steam, WFI, process cooling water, HVAC, and related systems.
• Complete safety and quality documentation and adhere to GMPs and Amgen policies.
• Communicate status clearly to operators and stakeholders; document work orders.
