Job summary

Martin Marietta is currently seeking a night shift Plant Operator for surface operations at the Randolph Mine in Randolph, Missouri. The role supports plant clean‑up and surface crushing operations and may back up Plant Operator I in an automated rock crushing plant.

You will monitor equipment, follow safety programs, and work as part of a team to ensure production continuity in a heavy materials facility.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
1+ years of related experience.
Valid US driver's license.
Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
MS Office and other computer skills preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of MSHA regulations.
Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Participate in safety programs and trainings.
Operate skid steer to facilitate plant clean‑up.
Train and provide back‑up for Plant Operator I.
Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.
Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes.
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
Operate haul truck to assist with plant operations.
Work in a team environment.
Clean work areas.
Proper wear of personal protective equipment.
Notify supervisors of repairs needed.
Manage multiple tasks and prioritize production needs.
