Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator for surface operations at the underground mine in Randolph, Missouri, to assist with plant clean-up and support surface crushing. The role also serves as a back-up to Plant Operator I, controlling equipment in a fully automated rock crushing plant.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of related experience, and a valid US driver’s license. Heavy equipment or military background is preferred; MSHA knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• MS Office and other computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer to facilitate plant clean-up.
• Back-up Plant Operator I for automated rock crushing operations.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.
• Tend conveyors and move materials through production.
• Maintain safety and proper PPE usage.
