Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator for surface operations at the Randolph underground mine in Randolph, Missouri. The role supports plant clean-up and surface crushing operations and may serve as back-up to Plant Operator I by controlling plant equipment in a fully automated rock crushing plant.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and 1+ years of related experience; heavy equipment familiarity or military service is a plus, with MS Office

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license is required.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and trainings.
• Operate skid steer to assist with plant clean-up.
• Train and provide back-up for Plant Operator I.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.
• Tend conveyors to move materials through production.
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Operate haul truck as needed.
• Work in a team environment.
• Maintain clean work areas.

Skills

Ability to work with minimal supervise

Knowledge of MSHA regulations

Effective written and verbal comunicat

Knowledge of machines and tools

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
