Job summary

Apache Workforce LLC is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter for our Houston, TX shop. You will read blueprints and P&IDs, fabricate, install, and maintain pipe systems with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 5+ years in pipe fitting, proficiency with MIG welding, measuring tools, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Expect a manufacturing environment with 10% night-shift differential for qualifying hours.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and piping drawings (P&IDs).
• Accurately read measuring devices.
• Knowledge of pipe schedules, dimensions, spec.
• Set up and operate MIG welding machine.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools used in pipe fitting.
• Basic math for measuring dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication with team and supervisors.
• Safety awareness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe, fittings, supports per drawings/specs.
• Read/interpret blueprints, P&IDs, schematics.
• Measure and lay out pipe per dimensions.
• Cut pipe with saws, torches, cutters; pipe-cutting machines.
• Thread pipe with threading equipment.
• Bend pipe with rolls/machines; assemble/install components.
• Work with steel, stainless steel, other materials.
• Set up/use MIG welding equipment when required.
• Install pipe supports, hangers, related components.
• Verify dimensions and alignment for quality.
