Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and work instructions.
• Lay out, measure, fabricate, assemble, and install industrial piping systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and bend pipe using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Fit and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials.
• Install tubing, valves, fittings, hangers, brackets, and pipe supports.
• Operate pipe-cutting, threading, and bending equipment as required.
• Perform basic MIG welding for pipe supports and fabrication tasks when needed.
• Check measurements, alignment, fit-up, and completed work for accuracy.
• Assist with material tracking and communicate material needs to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized condition.
• Follow established safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
• Participate in required safety and job-related training.

Pay: $27.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on experience
Night Shift Premium: Additional 10% shift differential for night-shift hours

Position Summary

Apache Workforce is seeking experienced Pipefitters / Boilermakers for industrial manufacturing and fabrication opportunities in Houston.

This position involves the layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of industrial piping systems and related components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel piping, reading fabrication drawings and P&IDs, and using pipe-fitting tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Read and follow blueprints, piping isometrics, P&IDs, and work instructions.

Lay out, measure, fabricate, assemble, and install industrial piping systems.

Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and bend pipe using appropriate tools and equipment.

Fit and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and other applicable piping materials.

Install tubing, valves, fittings, hangers, brackets, and pipe supports.

Qualifications

Experience as a Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Pipe Fabricator, or in a related industrial trade preferred.

5+ years of related experience preferred.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, piping drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.

Familiarity with pipe schedules, materials, fittings, and fabrication practices.

Experience using pipe-fitting tools, measuring equipment, and power tools.

Basic MIG welding experience is a plus.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Commitment to safe and quality-focused work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical training or certification in pipe fitting, boilermaking, or a related trade.

Experience with automated pipe-cutting, threading, or bending equipment.

Forklift experience or certification.

Overhead crane experience or certification.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices.

Experience working in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication environment.

This position is performed in a manufacturing and fabrication shop environment and may involve exposure to industrial equipment, piping materials, noise, heat, and varying temperatures.

The position may require:

Standing and moving throughout the work area for extended periods.

Bending, reaching, kneeling, and working in various positions.

Handling and moving materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.

Using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and fabrication machinery.

Working in areas that may not be climate controlled.

Working scheduled overtime or extended shifts based on production requirements.

Compensation

$27.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifying night-shift hours receive an additional 10% shift differential.
