Job summary

Apache Workforce is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder for a manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. The role involves welding pipe and related components to drawings and procedures, with TIG and MIG/Flux Core experience required.

A 6G welding test is required before placement, and candidates should be prepared for day or night shifts with a 10% night shift differential. Weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux Core).
• Ability to pass a 6G welding test.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of pipe materials, schedules, and welding processes.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools and gauges.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow welding procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe and related components using TIG, MIG, and Flux Core processes.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Read and follow blueprints, P&IDs, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Select the appropriate filler metal and welding materials for the job.
• Check completed welds for quality and proper appearance.
• Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Complete required production or quality documentation.
• Perform basic inspections and maintenance of welding equipment.
• Assist with material identification and inventory activities when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
