Job summary

OhioHealth in Kentucky is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our Laboratory team. The TLA performs phlebotomy and related procedures with a focus on safety and patient care.

Evening shift, 40 hours per week. Minimum 6 months to 1 year in phlebotomy, High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license are required. You will support clinicians and patients while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.
• Active driver’s license and personal auto insurance required for associates in skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing per location; adhere to safety and infection control practices.
• Handle associated computer tasks (LIS, e-Source).
• Train new employees and students.
• Adhere to regulatory compliance including NPSGs, CAP, OSHA, JCAHO, CMS, OSH and lab policies.
• Maintain competencies and complete mandatory education.
