Responsibilities

Collect specimens by venipuncture, skin puncture or other collection technique; ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
Process specimens: accession into LIS, verify demographics, prepare samples for testing.
Perform clerical tasks: answer inquiries, clean/workstation, train others in phlebotomy/processing tasks.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures throughout collection, transport and processing of specimens.
