Job summary

Confident Search Consultants in Fairhope, AL seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3rd shift contract (8:30pm–7:00am, 10-hour shifts) with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging specimens, and ensuring proper handling and documentation, in a fast-paced lab environment.

Minimum qualifications include phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure accuracy by matching requisition forms to specimen tubes and labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
