Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential to convert to permanent. Schedule: 3rd shift, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends, 8:30pm–7:00am, 10-hour shifts.

Minimum qualifications include a valid phlebotomy certification for the state and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label/centrifuge specimens, and maintain data.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures; ensure correct labeling.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport; follow OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
