Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks a Pharmacy Inpatient Night Shift Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications. This 7 on/7 off role runs 6:30pm–6:30am Wednesday through Monday, with 7:00pm–6:30am on Tuesday.

Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA) is required, along with Tennessee licensure; relevant experience is welcomed. You will handle inventory control, operate pharmacy computer systems, and provide customer service by answering

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials (PTCB or NHA) and Tennessee license.
• Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to follow pharmacist guidance and comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Apply inventory control processes and manage medication stock.
• Follow department policies and federal/state regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling calls and triaging requests.
• Operate pharmacy computer systems and recordkeeping.
