Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for full-time night shift on a 7 on/7 off schedule. You will maintain automated dispensing systems, prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, and manage inventory to ensure regulatory storage compliance.

As a key contact for patients and healthcare professionals, you will triage inquiries and support pharmacists to deliver distributive services and maintain departmental integrity.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure secure medication access for clinical units.
• Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds and repackage medications per safety standards.
• Oversee inventory, receive supplies, and ensure stock meets regulatory storage requirements.
• Serve as a primary contact, triaging inquiries and providing vital information to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Partner with Pharmacists to deliver distributive services and maintain departmental integrity.

Education

Tennessee Board of Pharmacy registration

Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA)

High School diploma or equivalent
