Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with preparation, dispensing and inventory control in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include customer service, answering calls, triaging requests, and delivering accurate medication distribution. The role requires a CPTB or NHA certification, prior pharmacy experience, and the ability to work at least 6 hours on 2 days per week between 7:00am and 11:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
• Previous fast paced pharmacy experience is preferred.
• No drive thru, vaccine metrics, or working solo in this position.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
