Actalent is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support automated prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced, high-volume center in Bolingbrook, IL. You will process prescriptions, enter patient data, and assist with insurance issues while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician experience or certification preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to learn pharmacy systems, medical terminology, and insurance billing processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-based environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics, prescription data, and insurance information into processing systems.
• Process new patient registrations and maintain accurate patient records.
• Resolve insurance billing issues, claim rejections, and third-party payment discrepancies.
• Research and troubleshoot incomplete, missing, or inaccurate prescription information.
• Interpret medical terminology, prescription abbreviations, and SIG codes.
• Escalate questions to licensed pharmacists as needed.
• Handle communications with patients, providers, and insurers.
• Support fulfillment using automated dispensing and packaging systems.
• Operate equipment to sort, count, label, and prepare medications for shipment.
• Monitor workflow and inventory across fulfillment stages.
• Identify operational issues and communicate concerns to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to HIPAA and quality standards.
