Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Patient Care Pharmacist to provide overnight coverage for the emergency department and hospital-wide emergencies, plus inpatient pharmacy operations and clinical workflows. Ideal candidates will handle fast-paced, high-stakes situations and have PGY1 residency or hospital practice experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, antibiotic stewardship, drug consults, and adherence to Ohio regulations in a patient-centered model.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Ohio required or eligible.
• PGY1 residency or 3 years hospital practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, distribution and dispensing of medications per regulations and policies.
• Maintain compliance and records related to pharmacy transactions.
• Assist in inventory management and processing non-formulary requests.
• Interpret and verify medication orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize drug therapy and monitor interactions.
