Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's, part of Mount Carmel Health System, seeks a Pharmacist to provide shared overnight coverage for the emergency department and hospital-wide emergency response, in addition to inpatient pharmacy operations.

This fast-paced role offers opportunities for professional growth and involvement in multidisciplinary care. Ideal candidates will have a PGY1 residency or three years of hospital practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Ohio.
• PGY1 residency or three years of institutional pharmacy experience in an advanced clinical setting preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage pharmaceutical care, including delegating tasks to other pharmacy team members.
• Performs work independently in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, distribution, and dispensing of medications in compliance with state and federal regulations and departmental policies; direct and assist pharmacy staff.
• Maintain compliance and records related to pharmacy transactions, including controlled substances.
• Assist in managing pharmacy inventory and processing non-formulary requests.
• Interpret, evaluate and verify medication orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize drug therapy and monitor for interactions and adverse effects.
