Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacist to serve as shared overnight coverage for the emergency department and hospital-wide emergency response, in addition to clinical workflows in the inpatient pharmacy.

Ideal candidates will have a PGY1 residency or 3 years of hospital practice and be licensed in Ohio. This 7 nights on/7 nights off role offers a fast-paced environment, rewarding teamwork, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
• PGY1 residency or three years of institutional pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, distribution, and dispensing of medication in compliance with regulations; direct pharmacy support staff.
• Maintain compliance and records for pharmaceutical transactions, including controlled substances.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, remove expired or contaminated stock, and process non-formulary requests.
• Interpret, evaluate, and verify medication orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize drug therapy and monitor for interactions and adverse effects.
