Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I for the Riverside Desert Mental Health Urgent Care in Palm Springs, CA. The role focuses on engaging members, supporting recovery goals, and reinforcing Telecare's RCCS culture across teams.

The position requires a high school diploma, multiple certifications per state requirements, and at least one year of relevant behavioral health experience. Fridays 11 PM–7:30 AM, 0.2 FTE, with starting pay around $23/hour and geographic differentials

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and kept current.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification required prior to hire date.
• Oregon: THW Certification required prior to hire date.
• Washington: CPC certification required prior to hire date and AAC certification within 60 days.
• Arizona: PRSS certification required prior to hire date.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting behavioral health members.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system.

Responsibilities

• Engages and facilitates conversations to support members in recovery goals.
• Provides consultation to promote Telecare's RCCS Recovery Culture.
• Responds to emergencies with de-escalation to support least restrictive environment.
