RWJBarnabas Health is hiring an RN for the Pediatric unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. The role features night shifts, a 36-hour week, and requires NJ RN licensure and BLS.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, safe medication administration, teamwork with physicians, patient education, and accurate EMR documentation to ensure safe, seamless care transitions.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; pediatric experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to ensure timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment supporting long‑term career growth.
