Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with 6 months hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy course + PCT cert eligible.
• PCT Certification through NHA with 6 months hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in patient care tasks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality, privacy, dignity, and rights.
• Supports unit safety, supplies, and environment; participates in Quality/Performance Improvement data collection.
• Completes annual mandatory education for patient care technicians.
• Communicates with patients, families, and staff clearly and respectfully.
