THOM Thomas Hospitals in South Charleston, WV is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 3P Med Surg Pulmonary unit. You will support licensed staff, monitor patient vitals, assist with nutrition and hygiene, and help ensure safe, high-quality care during night shifts.

The role requires a High School Diploma and BLS certification within 30 days of hire, with prior patient care experience preferred. This is an on-site position with 36 weekly hours and a strong teamwork environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Aufgaben

• Observes and reports patient concerns to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and supports personal hygiene and patient comfort.
• Assists in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to help prevent infections.
• Reports equipment repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicates nutrition-related issues to the RN.
• Performs departmental administrative tasks and answers call bells.
