Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assists the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and assists in personal hygiene and other patient comfort measures.
• Assists in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment to help prevent infections and ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Prepares patients for examinations and communicates nutrition concerns to the RN.
