Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Med Surg/Specialties Unit. The full-time night shift runs roughly 6 pm to 6 am on a 24-bed unit known for caring for chronic and acute conditions.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, BLS within 90 days, and one of several CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or nursing-related credentials. Experience preferred, with comprehensive benefits offered by Sentara.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One of the listed care partner or nursing support certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety.
• Observe changes in patients and report to the nurse.
