Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA seeks a Part-Time Patient Care Technician for night shifts to support the Medicine Unit under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires high school level education and completion of an approved CNA or related program.

Qualifications

• High School/GED equivalent required.
• Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program or CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or Navy Hospital Corps School or EMT/Paramedic training accepted.
• Current student in a clinical program with RN/LPN/RT/PT experience within last 3 years also considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nurses with delegated nursing tasks.
• Perform patient care activities such as blood draws, EKGs, and ADLs; support Foley care and ambulation.
• Document and communicate patient status and needs to the care team.
