Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Surgical Transplant unit in Murray, UT. This full-time night role supports the patient care team with basic nursing tasks and telemetry duties as needed.

Requirements include CNA certification or completion within 120 days, BLS, and strong communication skills. The position offers shift differentials for evenings and weekends and opportunities to grow in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in progress with 120 days to obtain.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Fundamentals of Nursing course completed with passing grade within two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes, ambulation, comfort measures).
• Respond promptly to patient and family requests with excellent service.
• Record patient data and changes in condition; notify RN as needed.
• Assist with medications transport from delivery system to RN when on unit.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator tasks (phones, orders, unit records).
• Operate within scope of practice and follow safety/emergency procedures.
