Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Surgical Transplant unit on the Intermountain Medical Center campus in Murray, Utah. The role provides bedside patient care, assists the patient care team, and may perform Health Unit Coordinator duties.

A CNA and BLS are required, with strong computer literacy and good communication. This full-time night-shift position offers shift differentials, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within our community-focused

Qualifications

Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide basic patient care such as toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, ambulation, comfort measures, and responsive service to patients and families.
Document and report patient care findings promptly; alert RN for changes in condition.
Monitor patients and assist with telemetry as required on the unit; collaborate with the care team.
Transport medications to the RN as needed on the unit.
Possibly perform Health Unit Coordinator duties: phones, orders transcription, unit records, stocking and supplies.
Follow plan of care delegated and perform duties within scope of practice.
