Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team under supervision of licensed professionals.

The role includes basic patient care, coordinating with RNs, potential Health Unit Coordinator duties, and responsibilities across telemetry readiness, documentation, and safe patient handling. Part-time nights; every other weekend; Utah CNA and BLS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Utah.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of a CNA training program and recent CNA coursework.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care and respond to patient/family requests with excellent service.
• Report patient data and changes promptly to licensed staff.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry as required on unit.
• Transport medications to RN as needed on unit.
• Collaborate with RNs and care team to ensure quality patient care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator tasks (phones, orders, unit records).
• Implement delegated plan of care and duties within scope and safety standards.
