Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking Certified Patient Care Assistants (CNA) for the 4ABC Observation Unit. The role includes routine patient care, data collection, and support across Medical/Surgical, PCU, ICU, and ED as needed.

Night shifts (6:00pm–6:30am) with weekend/holiday rotations, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and differential pay offered. Self-scheduling is available; the unit emphasizes teamwork and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; ECG interpretation training preferred.
• 1 year medical clerical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and plan of care.
• Collect patient data, vital signs, inputs/outputs, and document in records.
• Transmit information to care team; assist with unit operations and supplies.
• Assist with transportation of patients and entry of physician orders in EMR.
• Support receptionist/clerical duties and maintain patient records and charts.
• Assist with pre/post-operative transport and OR turnover as needed.
