• Documents and maintains manual/electronic logs of all incoming requests for transfer.
• Maintains constant line of communication with Transfer Center Clinical Care Coordinators regarding new transfers and bed assignments.
• Works with Transfer Center Clinical Care Coordinators to initiate and arrange bed assignments according to policies.
• Performs tasks to collect and verify financial or third-party information to determine credit and collections eligibility.
• Communicates with patients and insurance to obtain payment authorization and required letters of guarantee.
• Verifies readiness of beds on inpatient floors and critical care units.
• Provides administrative support to Transfer Center Coordinators.
