Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Patient Care Tech for night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with alternating weekends and holidays. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic patient care activities, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, and support unit workflow in Palos Park, IL.

Qualifications include high school diploma and CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with clinicals; BLS required. Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester of clinicals.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care activities delegated by an RN.
• Assist with personal care and ADLs.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under stress.
• Prioritize unit tasks and coordinate with team.
• Serve as liaison between units and departments.
• Handle calls and communications with staff and family.
