Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Night shift on Surgery Unit 5B. You will work under a professional nurse to provide patient care, support admissions and discharges, and ensure safety protocols on a busy 24-bed unit serving diverse surgical patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and applicable CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related certification paths.

Qualifications

• Unlicensed staff providing delegated nursing care under supervision.
• Assist with admissions/discharge and patient safety.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed surgical unit.
• Support activities of daily living and mobility.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Maintain patient safety protocols under RN supervision.
