Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Surgery Unit 5B. This full-time night shift (approx. 7pm–7am) includes every other weekend.

You will provide patient care under the supervision of a nurse, assist with admissions and discharges, and monitor patient status in a fast-paced 24-bed surgical unit. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and a valid BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Eligible programs: CNA/NCMA/NCPCT/EMT/Paramedic, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nurse.
