Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Advanced Acute Care Units on a three 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00pm–7:30am) with every other weekend and holiday. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and strong communication to deliver high-quality patient care.

Eligible candidates may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus, $18.94 minimum hourly rate, and up to $40,000 in nursing-education financial support. No prior experience required—on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No experience needed; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to meet full-time night scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Performs ADLs including hygiene, mobility, and meals.
• Collect vital signs and daily weights; perform point-of-care testing.
• Coordinate patient transportation and paperwork to support unit workflow.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
