Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley seeks a Patient Care Technician for a part-time night schedule. The role supports Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring safety and comfort for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, up to 1 year of related experience, and will obtain Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire. This position offers night shift differentials and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Specialty Training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides care for patients in the assigned age range.
• May perform venipunctures and specimen collection per CLSI guidelines.
• Assist with daily living activities and patient hygiene.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with care team.
