Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/EMT or clinical healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• Basic life support (BLS) knowledge or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform tasks to assist with assessment, planning and care.
• Record vital signs as ordered by the RN and report deviations.
• Assist in selected treatments and procedures to support safe patient care.
• Ensure accurate patient identification per hospital policy before care.
• Collaborate with the care team, considering patient diversity and safety.
• Communicate with patients and staff; cover the BA desk when needed.
• Participate in bedside report at shift start and as required throughout the shift.
• Relocate and rotate to meet patient care needs as assigned.
• Assist with non-therapeutic functions and med delivery from pneumatic tube systems.
