Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Part Time Nights Patient Care Technician to support nurses by performing delegated basic patient care and ensuring a safe, clean environment. You will record vital signs, assist with meals and activities of daily living, and communicate patient information to the care team.

The role requires 0–2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program, with BCLS and CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in acute care or nursing program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs and input/output; report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support meals, bathing, grooming, and elimination assistance.
• Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose monitoring; document results.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
