Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned by the Resource Nurse or designee.
• Contribute to a safe environment and assist with de-escalation as directed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, ambulation, meals.
• Help move, lift, position and transport patients using proper safety techniques.
• Perform safety checks, use fall prevention devices, and follow restraint policies when needed.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements and assist with specimen collection.
• Assist with treatments and procedures by preparing equipment and supporting the patient.
