Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding.
• Clerical tasks: maintaining chart order, answering phones, and entering physician orders in Meditech.
• Coordinates patient flow with the charge nurse to keep departments aligned.
• Assists with patient and non-patient care duties; maintains unit cleanliness and supplies.
• Assists with patient/family teaching as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Enters outpatient and observation room charges daily.
• Follows safety and infection control standards.
• Uses effective interpersonal communication with team members.
• Establishes empathy-based therapeutic relationships with patient, family and staff.
• Promotes a positive patient experience.
• Seeks help from appropriate resources as needed.
• Keeps current with hospital policies.
• Maintains open lines of communication with staff.
• Clarifies unclear communication between healthcare team members.
