Job summary

Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN or LPN. The role supports activities of daily living, monitors patient data, and communicates effectively with the care team.

The PCT will assist with meals, hygiene, positioning, mobility, and sample collection while adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required; CPCT/CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data (vital signs, intake/output) and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Maintain infection control practices and proper use of PPE.
