Job summary

Avera Health's Dell Rapids area hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the night shift to provide routine patient care and support services under supervision. Duties include ambulating patients, assisting with meals, responding to call lights, and helping with admissions, discharges, and transport as needed.

The position offers a pay range of $18.00–$23.50 per hour, 72 hours every two weeks (12-hour nights), and every third weekend/holiday, with benefits and career development

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification/licensure required.
• Minimum age 16.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under nurse/physician direction.
• Assist with ambulation, bathing, positioning, meals, and call lights.
• Greet visitors, answer inquiries, relay messages, and run errands for department staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transport as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and equipment.
