Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a Regular full-time Nursing Assistant for night shifts (7:00p–7:00a) with rotating weekends/holidays. Responsibilities include direct patient care, meal assistance, and coordinating services to ensure high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred CNA certification; High School diploma or GED required; must be able to work the specified hours and maintain safety/compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care such as ambulating, bathing, positioning, feeding and other care needs.
• Responds to patient call lights and assists with inquiries and errands.
• Ambulates patients and assists with transfers and monitoring of intake/output.
• Operates communication systems and coordinates services and appointments.
• Maintains orderly patient rooms and handles clerical duties related to admissions and transfers.
