Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The NA will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support treatment areas on the 12-hour night shift, with a 36-hour scheduled work week.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus after a one-year commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within four months from employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and meal preparation.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
• Prepare treatment areas and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste as required.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• Provide one-on-one patient care as needed for safety and care quality.
